In ecosystems, to avoid competition or confrontations, predators occupy different elevation level to avoid each other as in South East Asia, Tigers, Leopards and Clouded Leopards live on different elevations of a similar place.
www.biodiversity-science.net/EN/10.17520/biods.2020359
Siberian tigers occupy higher and lower elevations (according to prey avaiability). Black bears on the other hand occupy high elevations to avoid the brown bears in lower elevation.

But black bears never changed elevations to avoid tigers. Does that mean they fear more brown bears that of tigers?

I dont think so bro. That wouldn't make much sense. Tigers ambush and kill black bears (not so much the adult males) much more than brown bears, in fact, i dont think we have any account of an Ussuri brown bear killing an Ussuri black bear. But we never really know what's going on in the mind of these animals.

Yeah. Thats the same fucking thing i am confused of. Why don't black bears change elevations to avoid tigers but they do against brown bears? Once, i read that most studies are on siberian tigers, making black bear ecology rarely understood.

/\I was thinking about that too. Tigers are faster than Ussuri brown bears and can catch the black bears quicker.
I am aware Asiatic black bears can climb better than tigers and even leopards but they would have a much easier time escaping brown bears than tigers.

So even black bears who are pound for pound weaker than brown bears give tough fights to tigers. Ahahahah
Also the "you know what" can't call us out for fanboying since he said "There's no single record bear killing a little tiger cub".

This paragraph is from Dr. Asir Jawahar Thomas Johnsingh, an Indian vertebrate ecologist:
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/A._J._T._Johnsingh
"...I wondered what the black bear will be eating in the Park as the only edible fruit I saw was of Zizyphus mauritiana the fruits of which were as big as a small lemon indicating the productivity of the land. The omnivorous bear should also be scavenging on the tiger kills. I saluted the brave black bear (during my short stay I had seen tracks of two different bears), which manage to survive even in the alluvial floodplain habitat with a high density of tigers but scattered trees where, therefore, the chances of scurrying up the trees when confronted by a tiger are less..."

In the Himalayas , Burton considered bears to be normal food for tigers , but there has been no evidence of this in recent years books.google.com/books?id=MGs-AQAAIAAJ&q=In+the+Himalayas+,+Burton+considered+bears+to+be+normal+food+for+tigers+,+but+there+has+been+no+evidence+of+this+in+...&dq=In+the+Himalayas+,+Burton+considered+bears+to+be+normal+food+for+tigers+,+but+there+has+been+no+evidence+of+this+in+...&hl=en&newbks=1&newbks_redir=0&source=gb_mobile_search&ovdme=1&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjTob3on7H8AhXAkWoFHSSoDM0Q6AF6BAgDEAM

He is of course talking about the Himalayan black bear (Ursus thibetanus laniger), the most aggressive black bear subspecies in the world, and the absolute only black bear that has winning accounts against tigers. Tigers run away when this bear goes to take their kill. Great account.
