Quote; “Average tiger stronger than average bear” When a biologist makes such a statement, he is referring to the bears that a tiger will stalk and ambush. Therefore, he is saying that the average full-grown male tiger is stronger than a female brown bear (smaller than himself) or a moon bear. He doesn't explain because, to a fellow biologist, his meaning is crystal clear. Its very hard to believe that he is referring to average adult male specimens. He isn't. Why would a biologist be comparing the strength of the tiger to that which he never hunts? The male tiger always stalks and ambushes a bear smaller than himself; usually by at least 100 pounds.

7#. A tiger always chooses a bear about 100 pound smaller than himself. (BART SCHLEYER)
8#. If a tiger attacks by ambush, the tiger wins but if the ambush fails so the bear would surely conquer the tiger. (MIKHAILOVICH SHIROKOGOROV)
9#. Brown bear predation on tigers is very but becomes intense in harsh winters. (Gorokhov)
10#. No case of adult male brown bear killed by tiger is known to biologists. (Miquelle, Amurtiger centre)

brobear You wrote:So an adult male tiger ambushed a 3 year old subadult bear, and even while being previously injured by that initial ambush, the bear still managed to dislodge and make a long and bloody struggle, so much so that the tiger had an injured paw? Shit, damn, that doesn't speak very good of Odyr, i wouldn't be so happy about this account if i was a tiger fan, LMFAO. In fact, we bear fans should be happy.

That's very good search there bro. We can clearly see that how much rarely bears are hunted. Even black bears don't appear to be hunted much. Indeed, tiger predation upon bears is too much exaggerated. Scientific tables always debunk that. Can the provide the link to this please?

Brown bear Ursus Arctos in a tiger's diet If i am reading correctly, for Ursus Arctos all i see are 9 specimens in 15 years in all those locations combined. Not much to be honest. Also, take into consideration that this chart is based on scat, so it doesn't really prove predation in all these cases.

Literature that greatly exaggerates the predation of tigers on animals and the killing of other animals such as elephants and rhinoceroses, as well as literature that greatly exaggerates and old literature that is often distorted and misleading.

Anyhow, whats the point of me (or you) addressing their posts? For years it will be like, them "bear killed confirmed!", we, "not confirmed!" No one will convince no one even in a single point no matter what is posted or said. Well fuck those fags, let them believe what they want, we will believe what we want, simple as this.

section 4.1.2 it was already mentioned that although bear hair was found in tiger excrement several times, there were no recorded cases of bear preying on them by the former predator. Including in winters when bear tracks were found. Bears can probably stay awake in winter due to the harvest, more likely acorns than pine nuts, and the gentle snow conditions. In such winters they also eat the remains of tiger meals, thus being commensals. In addition, bears lay claim to carrion, which tigers also do not disdain (Table 6.1). Similar behavior of brown and Himalayan bears has been described both for the south of Primorye (Bromley, 1965) and for the northern regions (Abramov, 1940; Matyushkin, 1974). Tigers can eat bears that have died for some reason; In the second half of the 90s, with the increase in the number of bear shootings, the occurrence of their remains in tiger feces also increased. Previously, in some periods, the share of bears in the tiger's diet in the Lazovsky Reserve was higher. In 1968-76, no cases of tiger attacks on bears were recorded here (Khramtsov, Zhivotchenko, 1983). According to V.I. Zhivotchenko (1981), in 1973-79, the share of the Himalayan bear in the tiger's diet here was 1.5% (3 bears were found and in 2 cases, their remains were found in excrement), no brown bears were found that were killed by tigers. V.S. Khramtsov (1993) cites information about 8 cases of the death of the Himalayan bear from a tiger based on the remains of its prey during the period from 1980-90. During the same period, bear claws were found in tiger excrement in 5 cases. And in 1979, the bear’s claws and fur were discovered three times (Khramtsov, 1983). In other places, the percentage of bears in the tiger's diet was also higher at different times. In the Sikhote-Alin Nature Reserve, the share of the Himalayan bear was 5% (Matyushkin, Gromov, 1974). According to other authors, the share of brown bears in the tiger's diet was 5% at different times in Primorsky Krai (Abramov, 1962), including 8.4% in the Sikhote-Alin Nature Reserve. In the middle Sikhote-Alin, the share of all bears in the tiger's diet was 5.4% (Yudakov, 1973). In the Bolshekhekhtsirsky Nature Reserve in Khabarovsk Krai in the 1990s, the share of brown bears in the tiger's diet was 18.5%, and Himalayan bears - 14.5% (Tkachenko, 1996). In the Sikhote-Alin Nature Reserve, there have been cases of tigers being killed by brown bears (Kostoglod, 1977), and the bears there often tracked the tigers to take their prey, and even hunted them specifically. Cases of tigers being killed by brown bears have also been observed in Khabarovsk Krai (Dunishenko, personal communication) and in other places (George, 1979). Thus, at present, in the southern Sikhote-Alin, the tiger has no serious natural competitors or enemies, which occurred both as a result of the extinction of some (leopard, red wolf) and the reduction of predatory activity of others (harza, wolf, lynx). Bears are more likely to be commensals and competitors for carrion than victims in relation to the tiger. In the 90s, predation on wild ungulates, domestic and feral dogs increased. redirect.viglink.com/?key=71fe2139a887ad501313cd8cce3053c5&subId=6716665&u=https%3A//www.google.com/url%3Fsa%3Dt%26source%3Dweb%26rct%3Dj%26opi%3D89978449%26url%3Dhttp%3A//www.dslib.net/ekologia/amurskij-tigr-i-ego-biocenoticheskie-svjazi-v-juzhnom-sihotje-aline.html%26ved%3D2ahUKEwjTvdXJ6oGJAxW2g_0HHe3iE-w4PBAWegQIBhAB%26usg%3DAOvVaw2VS9A3TNrYD5wIvux2ys-H

Reply #1052:
This is a real good find bro. Just confirms what we already know, just because its in your stomach doesn't mean you killed it. So with the increase of hunters killing bears came the increase of bears in tiger's feces, doesn't surprise me. Real proof here.

That's very good and logic information there kille, very nice. It says that bear hunting increased bear remains in tiger excrement which clearly shows that it is tiger scavenging not tiger hunting which shows the most of their diet percentage about bears and unfortunately this isn't a good news for our poor tiger fans, lmao. We knew of scavenging but never thought that to what extent human hunting of bears can increase the help tigers to get free bear meat. It appears that almost half of bear remains in excrement are victims of humans. Tbh, those hunters are motherfuckers. Killing bears for sport and fun, fuck this type of fun.

This quote is also interesting as well:
"Bears are more likely to be commensals and competitors for carrion than victims in relation to the tiger."
It means bears are more dedicated to tiger's food than tigers are to hunting bears. This one isn't again good for poor fans boys. Lmao. Very nice find there. Keep it.

Even though the bear is thin and weakened, he is still confident enough to challenge a tigress (with cubs she is fiercer) on kill disputes, surely he is the king of the forest. However, I supplicate that bear recovers to his health. Amen.
