Sloth Bear meets Leopard
We were on a game drive in Yala National Park, Sri Lanka when we heard about a leopard bathing under a tree. We made our way over to the location where we found the leopard lying almost out of sight. Just before we left a Sri Lankan Sloth bear walked out of the bush straight into view. We were all stunned as the bear made its way over to the leopard. On the way it rolled over onto its back then carried on straight to the leopard. The leopard was surprised and bolted at which point this was takenweb.archive.org/web/20191026235110/https://yourshot.nationalgeographic.com/photos/6267383/

A 4-year-old leopardess killed by a sloth bear (Tamil Nadu, India)
Leopard killed by bear ... excitement in the woods
"Led by Talawadi Forest Ranger Sivakumar, a leopard was found dead with its stomach torn as forest officials went on a search operation in the area. Then the forest doctor was called and an autopsy was done there. It has been revealed that the dead leopard was four years old and was not killed for hunting (by poachers). The reason is that the leopard would have been without claws, teeth and skin if it had been killed for hunting (by poachers). But the leopard lay dead with nothing taken. Foresters said the cause was a fight between a dead leopard and another wild animal, which killed the leopard. The dead leopard was burned on the spot."www.nakkheeran.in/24-by-7-news/thamizhagam/erode-sathyamangalam-forests-animals

I never seen that before but however I have just a question: is a 4 years old leopard considered adult?

I was about to post this thread here. Anyway, there are no accounts of a leopard killing a mature sloth bear. Only one subadult female was killed. The leopard died as well.

In a onother fight, sloth bear killed leopard, but the bear died later on.

I've seen some retarded cat fanatics stating that leopard can take on a grizzly which is ridiculous. Even a sloth bear can beat the shit out of the leopard.

We're not scared! Moment a bear charges over to attack leopard but the big cat stands its ground in Sri Lanka The sloth bear was caught on video charging towards a resting leopard
But as the animal stood up on its hind legs, the big cat rose up to defend itself
The footage was captured in the Kumana National Park in Sri Lanka
This is the moment a leopard stood its ground and saw off an aggressive bear.
Footage shot in Kumana National Park on Sri Lanka's east coast shows the encounter ending with the thwarted sloth bear skulking away with a growl.
In the video, taken from a safe distance, the black sloth bear appears out of the woods and walks towards the leopard resting on the ground.
The bear bounds towards its rival, and then stands up on its hind legs in an attempt to scare the big cat.
But the leopard is unmoved and squares up to the aggressive bear.
After some tense growling and hissing, the bear appears to back down and heads back towards the cover of the forest, leaving the big cat behind.

As soon as the bear nears its rival, it quickly stands up on its hind legs in an attempt to scare the animal. Unmoved by the bear's threats, the leopard squares up to the aggressor
The encounter between the sloth bear and a leopard is believed to be a rare sighting in the wildlife park.
Sloth bears are native to the Indian subcontinent, with a population living on Sri Lanka.
Their shaggier appearance and long claws are believed to be the reason behind them being incorrectly named as part of the sloth family.

Leopards on the island have been known to venture into urban areas and attack people.
Both of the animals are among Sri Lanka's top predators.
Wildlife in the Kumana National Park is very varied and includes a herd of 30 to 40 elephants, as well as crocodiles and jackals.
