That's the Gobi bear (Ursus arctos Gobiensis), not the Syrian brown bear (Ursus arctos syriacus). Anyhow yeah, i was wrong, i misinterpreted a quote from a study. These brown bear subspecies should contain some cave bear DNA.

Does it has cave bear DNA and is it related to Ussuri brown bears, East Siberian brown bears and Kamchatka bears? So the Ussuri brown bear has cave bear DNA in it too and is related to the steppe brown bear which is probably where the polar bear came from. The cave bear is actually still alive .
