Reply #80, nice video. Spermwhale, i had no idea about that. Info: The sperm whale, capable of producing clicking sounds up to 233 decibels, is the loudest animal on earth. That's not the only category it leads. The sperm whale is also the largest toothed whale on earth, and has a larger brain than any other animal. a-z-animals.com/blog/the-top-10-loudest-animals-on-earth/

Is anyone able to find the account that says a large bear is actually around 300 pounds?

It’s alright. I found it in the Ussuri brown bear thread in the brown bear section. It is interesting that Warsaw pointed out that large means nothing in Russian literature. I don’t know Russian language, therefore I can’t comment.

Congratulations. I am a grizzly now. You are still stronger and larger than me because you are a gruzzly bear! You just got to keep posting as you are doing. Quality is more important than quantity. I hardly have time to post myself lately but a few quality posts a day is better than multiple spam.

We did nice threads about bears interactions with wolverines, cougars and wolves. I do also think that the grizzly bear aka North American brown bear do mirrors the African lion in same ways. - grizzlies steal kills from wolves and cougars and lions do the same to hyenas and leopards. - hyenas sometimes prey on lions but usually cubs and females but the male adults can scare away an entire clan, that actually applies the same to wolves with grizzlies: wolves prey on females and cubs but male adults dominate whole packs in dispute over kills. - there are plenty of accounts of leopards killing lions but those are all unrealible and in reality they only kill young individuals and are defeated by adults, the same thing also applies to cougars with bears. - wolverines are reputed to kill bears but in truth they only bluff with them and are even killed and eaten, the same thing applies even to honey badgers with lions. Your words 100% match with my mind. I also always think the same. However, i never thought about wolverine or badger one but thats also a great point too. Just like this, i believe that the tiger very very very rarely prey on female brown bears or young speciens by ambush or in hibernation while strictly avoid the adult male bruins just like wolves attacking and preying rarely on females and jevuniles nut avoid adult male grizzly bear. And just like adult male brown bears track tigers and dominate disputes againat wolf packs, tigers, including adult males, are also tracked and robbed by these fearsome adult bruins but unlike wolves, tigers mostly do not give any resistence.
