Quote; "Weight advantage a brown bear needs over a tiger or lion ?" *Seriously; I have watched several videos where a sloth bear stands his or her ground against a full-grown male Bengal tiger and successfully defends itself until the tiger tires out and walks away. I watched a video of a lion caged with a moon bear. The entire video, the bear stood his ground while the lion spent most of his time trying to escape and put some distance between himself and the bear. In all of these events, the big cat had a huge size advantage. To defeat a brown bear, which is pound-for-pound the strongest of bears, the big cat will need a significant weight advantage. In Asia, there is no confirmed account of a tiger ever killing a bear, under any circumstances, that was his own weight or heavier.

Personally I was thinking that although the test that says the bear has the fastest paw swipe has been prove wrong, the brown bear eing a plantigrade will still have stronger paw swipes than both the tiger and lion (being digitigrades) individually from a standstill point.
