/\ Sometimes when scientist refer to large bear does not always mean the largest bear, it might means Wow it is much larger than myself. Isn't 1000 pounds the average weight male for Kodiak bears approximately?

/\ Sometimes when scientist refer to large bear does not always mean the largest bear, it might means Wow it is much larger than myself. Isn't 1000 pounds the average weight male for Kodiak bears approximately? I believe the average is closer to 900 lbs. If 5 specimens of 8/9 year olds averaged 835 lbs, then the average should be a bit higher as those 8 year old specimens were most likely not fully-grown yet. I dont think the average is 1000 lbs though, but closer to 900 lbs, just my speculation.
