Reply #19, very nice accounts bro. The white rhino that killed a bull hippo was already posted at reply #13. The other ones i had not seen. So an Indian rhino killed an Asiatic elephant, very nice account, i am wondering if that elephant was an adult? Rhinos are just formidable, (my 9th favorite animal), my ass a skinny little tiger is killing one, lmfao.

It was most likely an adult given the rhino was able to maul it's entrails off so easily, most likely an elephant that was taller than the rhino, atleast. These are the only 'reliable' accounts of tigers predating on adult rhinoceros, the two on the bottom (ignore the top one; alot of them are probably poaching cover-ups and cubs) Notice that the rhino was physically hendered or the tigers had some sort of advantage in both; the first one involves a fully grown adult tigress hunting a rhino with 2 fully grown males; the encounter lasted for hours as the tigers were very persistent. On the second it involves a very heavily pregnant female rhino; it was most definitely very low on energy and stamina, which made it a very vulnerable target. It's pretty clear to us that other than accounts involving sick/pregnant females, tigers do not attack or kill adult rhino bulls.

Yeah i see, the one of the tigress and 2 grown cubs (whatever that means), it does not state the gender of the rhino, most likely a female, and the rhino got stuck in the mud of course. In the last account, it also states "tigers", so most likely more than 1 also.

That is a rare picture. Black rhinos are no easy prey and are probably the most aggressive of their kind.

I think in the top on the 20 rhinos killed by tigers in Kaziranga were most likely claves. A recent article of 2014 says that tigers kill about 15 to 20 rhino cubs annually. www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://fightforrhinos.com/2014/12/18/tiger-attacks-on-rhinos/%23:~:text%3DIn%2520Assam%27s%2520Kaziranga%2520National%2520Park,killed%2520by%2520tigers%2520each%2520year.&ved=2ahUKEwjH0ZPv3tnzAhUR-qQKHWnsBj0QFnoECAQQBQ&usg=AOvVaw2eDDreAtMM091OyfCDogQF
