In reply#39, i could not understand one thing that why the word "taiga" and "forest" used as separarte words? Is taiga is term used in boarder sense? I mean why he said that the Amur believed that bear was "Master of the taiga realm" while tiger is "Master of the forest realm"?
Any guess?

Brown bears inhabit the forest realm from Europe and the way to the Russian Far East. The Amur tiger only inhabits the Ussuri Kray and some of them have migrated to China.

Any guess? Something like oldindigosilverback said, the term "Taiga" tends to mean the more Northerly part of the zone, while "Forest" tends to mean the more Southerly part of the zone.

The taiga is a forest of the cold, subarctic region. The subarctic is an area of the Northern Hemisphere that lies just south of the Arctic Circle. SUBJECTS: Biology, Earth Science, Geography, Physical Geography education.nationalgeographic.org/resource/taiga

ML is a liar. Tungus tribe dealt with Siberian tigers yet they call bear as "The Master of Taiga".
