Yeah, tiger basically stands no chance in cage or pit fights where it cant escape, this is clear not only against bovids but also against bears judging by all accounts. I especially like replies #12 and #14 because of the pictures. The tigers attacked first but were decimated.

@ King Kodiak , all these account will be very surprising fot those who think that tigers hunt bovids so they can also kill them in a fight. But, for us, its not new thing. Tigers are ambush predators. Whenever they are going to loose their ambush, it means they are lossing their attack either in wild or pit fight. It is to be noted that there are accounts of single tigers killing bovids in wild, but that should not be called a "fight" because tigers killing style is pure stealth and ambush. I always check the source of the accounts and i found every right. It is to be highlighted that "sometimes a single bovid defeated more than one tiger in a same fight". It automatically shows that tigers are not fighters. Further, another important thing to be noted is that in most fights "tigers tried to flee instead of fighting and the tigers were sometimes provoked to fight but still they gave up", which clearly shows that calling tigers "a pure face-to-face fighter" is totally wrong. On the other hand, we don't call bears as fighters in vain. Bears are fighters and we have a solid proof of that. When bears fought pitfights against bulls, so unlike tigers, bears were mostly victors. beargorillarealm.proboards.com/thread/142/grizzly-spanish-fighting-bull-accounts There are some cases where a single bear killed more than three bulls, while there is no single account if tigers killing more than one bull in a fight. It clearly shows that bears dserve to be called a pure face to face fighters. And it is also to be noted that despite of sometimes having disadvantage in the fights, the bears were always victors but tigers, despite of having advantage still lost to bulls. So if we use simple logic we can differentiate between a fighter and hunter. Ans to be honest, it think that it is not quite fitting to pit a tiger against a bovid in a fight because a tiger knows hunting well but not fighting; to win a fight, a fighter wins not a hunter.
