What do you guys think of hybrids taking over the north? Does it mean polar bears will go extinct or will they just live on in the grolar bears.
ABC bears are still polar bears in brown bears bodies.

Good video Green. The governments really have to do something about global warming real fast to conserve the ice. Well, even though Grolar or Pizzly bears obviously have polar bear dna on them, still polar bears would be considered extinct as they are the only "pure" polar bear specimens.

2011.10.06.
"The sky was clear and the air was brisk. The northern lights danced subtly, a hazy green shimmer next to a vibrant Pleiades constellation. Just below, on the shore of the arctic ocean, two massive bears faced one another. A large male polar bear and a large male grizzly bear. Nose to nose, they gave each other a serious stare, each trying to loudly out roar one another. Their breath steamed the air, their gruff voices echoed off the crashing waves. A quiet moment passed, and a silent truce was met. And just like that it was over, each walking in opposite directions. The grizzly bear to the south, the polar bear to the north, naturally."

I have read this account on the shaggygod forum. The polar bear especially the older males do not always retreat.

/\ That is a good account. The barren ground grizzly is more aggressive but the American black bear being subordinate to the brown bear for so long has prey like mentality.

/\ This article is only mention briefly. In an account on Shaggygod forum, which is now dead, the older polar bears (while not as aggressive) are not as easily intimidated. The younger polar bears are more easily intimidated.

I do not see any fact that polar bear fear a smaller bear.

I do not see any fact that polar bear fear a smaller bear. You have got a good point there. Polar bears are constantly in their autumn weight all year round. Barren ground grizzlies are more aggressive partly because they find it harder to find food than polar bears do. In the wild, the more hungry animal is the more aggressive animal. There is scarcity of food in their area in comparison to the other brown bears in North America. domainofthebears.proboards.com/post/34777/

/\ So there are more hybrid bears that actually exist. I will not be surprise if many polar bears are 1/4 or even 1/8 brown bears especially in areas where they cross paths with the grizzly bears.

There is also an account of a tiger that killed a 2 year old polar bear:

/\ So this is one of the four accounts right? How old is the tiger? Regardless male polar bears take much longer to become fully grown so the fight is unfair.
