Reply #244, that is great, add that to her email stating that Amur tigers hunt "up to the largest and healthiest adult female brown bears" which translates to Amur tigers avoid adult male brown bears, and we can see her quotes are in favor of bears.
You know why this bear scent-marking the same tree as the male tiger?

You know why this bear scent-marking the same tree as the male tiger? Adult males usually display Indirect aggression by tree marking against animals.

Массовое появление в берлогах происходит в ноябре, однако самцы могут кочевать и в декабре. Итак, 16 декабря 1999 года на правом берегу р. Быкова отмечены свежие следы бурого медведя по старым следам тигра-самца. Mass occurrence in dens occurs in November, however, males can roam in December. So, on December 16, 1999, on the right bank of the river. Bykov, fresh tracks of a brown bear were noted, following the old tracks of a male tiger. elementy.ru/nauchno-populyarnaya_biblioteka/434170/Burye_medvedi_Bolshogo_Khekhtsira?from=rxblock In the reserve, the brown bear has practically no natural enemies; only the tiger can successfully hunt it. But at present, tigers do not live permanently on Khekhtsir. Since 2013, only their annual visits have been noted [ 6 ,7 ], dated mainly to the warm season (April-October). In 1992–2007, when a sedentary group of tigers lived on Khekhtsir, adult male brown bears treated their fresh tracks calmly and could move both along them and in the opposite direction. For example, on November 27, 1992, in the upper reaches of the river. Bykov's brown bear, following the trail of the tigress, trampled, and then followed her for about 2 km, periodically dodging to the side. The height of the snow cover along the route of the animals was 9–14 cm. elementy.ru/nauchno-populyarnaya_biblioteka/434170/Burye_medvedi_Bolshogo_Khekhtsira?from=rxblock

Who is taller: how a tiger and a bear compete for territory
A giant bear and a tiger named Beast from the Anyuisky National Park were caught by a camera trap.
Aleksey Gotvansky, an employee of the scientific department of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Amur Reserve", spoke about the results of monitoring the territories of the Anyui National Park. The researchers had at their disposal footage taken in May by a camera trap installed in the basin of the Pikhtsa River.
The footage showed a tiger named Beast and a large brown bear, which is not inferior to a striped predator in size. Animals chose the same tree and marked it in turn.
"This big bear has been living here for a long time. You can’t confuse him with anyone because of his height and power. And the tiger, which has already become a celebrity, the Beast, Comparing the photos, among other things, you can understand how close the bear is to the gigantic size of the tiger. Nevertheless, they have been dividing this territory for many years, doing without conflicts. They just flaunt in front of each other, trying to leave their odorous marks on the so-called mail tree, one higher than the other, ”- Alexey Gotvansky.
According to the specialist, the Beast walks along the entire Pikhtsa, and the bear does not need a large territory. He has a plot of several tens of kilometers with an abundance of food.
Gotvansky said that the monitoring of the territory took place in difficult conditions “at an air temperature of +35 °C and hordes of all kinds of midges.” The specialist managed to get to only seven traps, having traveled about 95 kilometers. In total, about 70 devices are placed on the territory of the Anyuisky National Park. nat-geo.ru/nature/mammals/kto-vyshe-kak-tigr-i-medved-sopernichayut-za-territoriyu/

This is probably a similar situation of a brown bear and tiger at a kill. Picture is credited to King Kodiak on the brown bear picture thread.

Exactly yes, we cant take that method as reliable for predation. Even then, from the same line, brown bears were only 5.4%. So only the top part of the chart (or any other predation chart) "according to tiger's prey" should be taken as reliable for predation, you can clearly see why the percentages at the bottom part are higher, even then its only the Tkachenko line because the other lines for brown bear have 0%. Brown bear predation is negligible in any time period.
By the way, just so there isn't any confusion on that chart, that 31.2% "according to tiger's excrement" , is not 31.2% per month or even per year, no. It was 31.2% of 91 tiger excrements analyzed, between 1992-2000 in the Bol'shekhekhtsirskii reserve. Brown bears was 0. Black bears were 18.2%. Thing is tho, they found only 2 BLACK BEARS killed and the input was somehow 18.2, read the Tkachenko study. And Warsaw already refuted that 31.2% before.

Alright so I did the calculations.
For black bear in excreta - 21.5 (20 specimens).
21.5%/20=1.075.
So, EACH of the bear’s found is equal to 1.075.
Even then, look at brown bear - 5.4%.
5.4%/5 (5 specimens found in excreta) is equal to 1.075.
So in 8 YEARS, only 20 BLACK BEAR SPECIMENS were found in tiger excretea, which is not impressive . so this debunks mountian lord claims.
Stop with the shit.

So only 5 brown bears were found in tiger's excrements and yes that measurement wasn't reliable at all, excrement analisys isn't a reliable method to study predation.

Just realized, Tkachenko found no brown bears killed. Unless they were some in the unidentifiable bears (4.3) Which would still, only by 4 specimens. So a small amount.

What do you mean? It was 5.4% of the excrement method and 0% of the according to prey method but that was only 11 carcasses analyzed. So most likely there were some brown bears killed but less than that 5.4% which is not reliable for predation.

Look at the line you highlighted you’ll see it. Unless I’m misunderstanding.

Nonetheless, small amount of brown bears were found. Its all negligible for brown bears. Even the section "according to tigers excrement" only has that 5.4% line for 91 scats analyzed, its still very small. All the other lines are 0%.
